Every Friday Dallas County Sheriff Mike Knoedl posts a weekly informational update on Facebook that includes news and arrests.
In this week's post Knoedl wrote a post about rumors circulating on social media about his deputies Knoedl addressed it after beginning his weekly dispatch about holiday donations for 40 kids.
He wrote: "On a more serious note, I want to dispel some rumors circulating on social media. Not a week goes by without someone asking about one of my deputies who has been charged with domestic battery and DWI. Anyone who has known me for over five minutes should know I will not tolerate that type of behavior from any of my employees, especially a law enforcement officer. I challenge anyone who makes these accusations to provide the proof, and I will immediately handle the situation. There is no proof because it never happened. It amazes me that the keyboard warriors who don't like law enforcement come up with this erroneous information and put it out there. I'm done with this issue and will not address it again."
Knoedl then wrote about an operation with his office and the 13th Judicial Drug Task Force.
On Wednesday morning a search warrant was executed on a residence in Fordyce.
"Methamphetamine was seized as a result of this search warrant," Knoedl wrote. "One arrest was made, and the person has one outstanding warrant for the distribution of narcotics. Keep selling the drugs in our county, and we're going to keep knocking on your door! Sleep well!!"
