The bill became Act 271 when Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders signed it into law on March 12.

The new law seeks to "clarify the law on the use of medical marijuana in certain places; and to prohibit the possession of an unsealed container of certain forms of medical marijuana in a motor vehicle."
