Grant County Election: 2024 in 2025?

Tuesday night's election results aren't the first time the year 2024 has appeared. Look at 2025.

The Reckoning continues to investigate and examine the Grant County 2026 primary election results.

The Election Night documents aren't the only Grant County results with a 2024 date.

Last November, Grant County citizens went to the polls to vote on a 9-year school millage extension to fund $11.5 million in state-partnership projects including a new elementary school in East End, a sports pavilion in Sheridan and school security upgrades. Property taxes were not increased.

On that same ballot, the city of Sheridan pushed a city bond issue to use existing 1% sales tax funds for parks and recreation projects. That bond would not increase property taxes.

A document obtained through the Arkansas Freedom of Information Act shows early voting and Election Day locations and dates for the 2025 Special Elections.

Both measures passed.

The document with the November 2025 Special Election results was filed in the Grant County Courthouse on Nov. 20, 2025 at 9:37. The footer date is November 28, 2024, at 3:57 p.m.

Why does an official certified Special Election that occurred in November 2025 involving millions of taxpayer dollars have a 2024 Election Summary date?
