Louisiana Man Arrested for 80 Counts of CSAM

Tip from National Center for Missing and Exploited Children tipped law enforcement about Daniel Elliot Mason

Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill's Louisiana Bureau of Investigation arrested Daniel Elliot Mason, 43, on Sept. 30 for 80 counts of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) under the age of 13, according to a news release from Murrill's office.

Mason was arrested in Union Parish, which sits on the Arkansas-Louisiana stateline about 44 miles from El Dorado.

Agents initially got a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, according to the release.

"This arrest was a result of a joint investigation with AG Murrill's Louisiana Bureau of Investigation and the Union Parish Sheriff's Office," the release stated.

Mason was booked into the Union Parish Detention Center in Farmerville, La. His bond, according to the release, has reportedly been set at $800,000.

The investigation is ongoing.
