In February, Dennis Keith Sanders, Jr., turned in his resignation as the Nashville School District's junior high band teacher effective June 7.
Talk swirled in Nashville, a town with a population of 4,056, about the teacher and his inappropriate behavior with a female student.
Three different pictures taken by students of Sanders and a female student on a school bus circulated in Nashville for weeks. South Arkansas Reckoning received the pictures and sent them to law enforcement. South Arkansas Reckoning was told another person also turned the pictures into law enforcement.
Sanders continued to teach until June although administrators and school board members knew about Sanders’ behavior.
South Arkansas Reckoning covered a special-called meeting by parents and community members with the school board in March about several issues including sexual harassment of students.
