It's been a go-go week, trying to keep up because it's never boring in South Arkansas.
First, let's say, may the Fourth be with you.
We'll start with what Suzi saw at a gas station on Friday night in Pine Bluff when she stopped to get some fried okra.
That's Princess, Hammer and Dennis. Suzi had to stop and ask about this. The horses live here along with other critters.
Suzi hasn't been there. Yet. But she will.
We don't like this news:
Suzi's friend, Talia Aline, posted about a restroom in Paris. France. We haven't seen toilets like this in South Arkansas but if you do, let us know.
This caught our eye from the Washington Examiner this week from our pal, Paul Bedard in DC. How much would you pay for it?
Funny enough, we've written about Epstein here at the Reckoning. We still haven't figured out that mystery so if you know drop us a line.
We wrote last week about crickets in your food. This week Richard saw this. It gave us pause and makes us really start reading food labels more closely. Because yuck, gross.
Speaking of insects, the cicadas have arrived in South Arkansas. We hear a dull hum day and night down here. Here's a picture of one of the curious creatures emerging from its shell in Suzi's yard. When Suzi's mom was a little girl, she used to collect the shells of cicadas — she called the locusts — and wear them as earrings. Suzi admits her mom taught her this natural jewelry trick, too.
From USA Today:
We caught this in one of the South Arkansas groups we follow.
And this:
This week we asked FB AI what's the most popular place in South Arkansas? Here's its answer. It gave us more than one. We would argue Hot Springs isn't exactly in South Arkansas.
Know more places than AI? Tell us.

I am not sure I have ever seen a Magnolia tree with all blooms and no leaves!
