News of the Weird: The Week That Was
Two in one week. Our apologies. Back on track. It's Caturday.
First, an explanation.
We got off schedule last week and didn't send our Saturday News of the Weird. We have been immersed in some pretty big stories that have taken a lot of interviews and research. Those take time and energy. And money. Plain truth. That's why we would love it if you would consider upgrading to a paid subscription. Remember we are only two people trying to do the right thing by exposing the truth. We aren't subsidized by anyone or any entity but you the reader. Only $6 a month, $60 a year.
We will be back on track with new stories and investigations next week. Maybe even later today if we have the energy.
But for now some of the stuff we noticed this week.
This photo, courtesy of Katherine Bishof, shows, yes, Gov. Sarah Sanders’ lectern does exist.
Let's talk more about cicadas. They're still here. Do you have them? We really want to know if people are truly frying these things. We saw another post about frying them this week. Suzi’z cat, Pickles, did catch one that flew into the house but she — Suzi, not Pickles— killed it before Pickles could eat the thing. This is from up North but still we've seen Southern posts about frying them, too.
More on cicadas from U of A System Division of Agriculture.
Richard spotted this and it cracked him up because it's a political year.
Sheridan never disappoints us for news. Ever.
And this.
Finally this.
We got a suggestion. Get your water hose, a bucket and some soap. Wash the car. Then wash the dog. That's how people did it back in the day and it worked. Saves money, burns calories and you won't be posting this:
We will leave Sheridan alone. For now.
Moving on. Suzi is obsessed with the weekly sign in Pine Bluff at Bryan Paints.
This is the color. Thoughts? Hallway color? Barbie Dreamhouse? Official description of this paint: “Reminiscent of fresh tulips and hyacinths, this traditional hue evokes springtime.”
We were sent this from Monticello. No, we didn't follow up on it.

I voted for investigative but some happy too.
