You may have heard already but Governor Sarah Sanders signed SB182 into law Monday “to require a local government to continue to operate under the annual appropriation ordinance for the previous year until a new appropriation ordinance is adopted; and to declare an emergency.”
This new law was created because Jefferson County employees haven't been paid in weeks because the Quorum Court cannot pass a budget.
Now what happens?
